THE LANGUAGE TESTS


  

There are many kinds of tests to assess our language ability as non-native speakers of English for admissions into higher education and other purposes , such as :
1.    1.   IELTS ( International English language Test system ) → there are four language skills test : reading , listening , writing and speaking . There are two versions of IELTS . The Academic Module is intended for students who want to study in higher education where English is the language used for communication . The General Training Module is designed for those who planning to study in secondary education, non-degree bearing progras, or vocational training.

2.     2.  TOEFL ( Test Of English as a Foreign Language ) there are three kinds of test PBT (Paper) , CBT ( Computer ) and IBT ( Internet ) . The TOEFL test is accepted by more than 7.500 istitusions in 130 countries . By four language skills test : reading , listening , writing and speaking ( www.ets.org/toefl/register/susa )
3.     3.  UExcel ( a credit by credit program )
4.     4. SAT  → Administered in over 180 countries, the SAT is integralto your dreams of studying abroad. The SAT is also recognized as an admission credential for International students at most prominent Universities outside the U.S . (including Canada, Australia, The United Kingdom and others ) that offer in English. The SAT consists of of three sections . 5.     4.  ACT  → The ACT exam consists of multiple choice questions in English, mathematics, Reading, and Science Reasoning. To register visit ( www.actstudent.org )
6.     5.  GMAT (Graduate Management admission Test) the exam consists : The Verbal Section, The Quantitive, The Analytical Writing Assesment (AWA)
7.     6.  GRE ( Graduate Record Examination )  → are taken by individuals applying to graduate programs in natural sciences, business, humanities and art, engineering, social sciences, education and other fields as well as individuals applying to MBA programs. ( www.ets.org/gre/ )
